Our Story
More than 20 years ago, we launched ShiftNote, an online shift communication tool based on decades of experience managing shift workers at restaurants and food distributors.
The challenge ShiftNote solved was communication between shifts. As the app continued to develop, we added more features to make shift work better. The software was so effective that it was widely adopted by companies in other industries including hospitality, manufacturing and retail sales.
With a powerful scheduler, task manager, and the same great communication tools, ShiftNote has evolved to become ShiftForce, solving more challenges for shift managers and making shift work more streamlined for everyone.

After spending 15 years managing successful restaurants plus 9 years as a director with a foodservice distributor, I developed a deep understanding of the complexities associated with running a successful shift-based business. It is with that understanding and passion that I developed ShiftNote. As ShiftNote evolved to include more tools for managing shifts, we’ve expanded our mission to become ShiftForce, continuing our dedication to making shift work easier for managers and employees.

With over 25 years of experience in food and sales, I truly enjoy setting up systems and procedures that assure success, training, consulting, growing sales, strategic planning, and creating "raving fan" customer service. I’ve developed and grown hundreds of concepts with different operators (I have seen them all). At ShiftForce, I put my experience to work for the companies and shift managers we support, helping them integrate with existing systems and get the most out of our shift management platform.

Over the past 15+ years I have continuously improved my skills as a software developer and leader. In addition to my experience, I have completed extensive training and earned multiple certifications, learning new technologies and best practices. At ShiftForce I manage and mentor a distributed team while maintaining extensive coding responsibility. In my role as CTO, I seek to make our technology more streamlined and secure, while ensuring wide availability and uptime for our shift management tools.
